I'm Ready For Life

Bad times and good times are a part of our life, It’s how one faces them that make or break a person, Some people fight it out and thrive, Some people let their chance go & see their life worsen, When life hits you hard, Don’t let that experience leave you broken, Instead survive to tell a story that wins hearts, Help others by not keeping your story unspoken, Be an inspiration to those around, They will remember you with kind words and a smile, Remember when a person decides he can heal every wound, Hope for the best give efforts to stand out from the pile, Don’t you worry life you will beat me at the end, But, till I’m alive I will answer every blow, Be kind & make each person you know a friend, Never let life leave you low,

An Appeal To Every "Educated" Indian

I’m a proud citizen of the culturally diverse country of India. I take great pride in the diversity of this country. But, can you believe that this country which has a huge expatriate community in all corners of the world still has millions living in abject poverty. Children below 14 years of age work, when their childhood should be spent running around the streets. Malnutrition and communicable diseases kill children before they even reach the age of 5. Here, women are scared of stepping out of their homes after dark in most parts of the country for fear of crime and violence. A girl or a woman out of their home at night is always threatened. The biggest reason for violence against women is unemployment. The biggest reason for unemployment is lack of good education and basic infrastructure such as clean drinking water, sanitation, medical facilities and electricity. In the last three decades however, the economy has gone through loads of upheaval. At one point in the year 1991, there was foreign exchange that could last only a fortnight. The liberalisation of the economy brought a lot of economic growth. Yet there is rampant malnutrition, farmer suicides, strife in some parts and constant uproar in a whole province of the country. This sure raises doubts about the leadership of this country. The way the election campaigning takes place is promises and some vile talk about the opponent party’s candidates. And amid all this there's the caste and reservation theme. A member of a particular community woos a particular community to vote for such and such political party,

Forgiveness

People make a mistake, It isn’t easy to forgive them their fault, Give it a go & see the world come awake, Don’t judge people with a pinch of salt, Not letting go can make your heart break. Remember that when you die, You will leave everything here, Make it a point to never let quarrels lie, One never knows when the end is near. When the other person realizes his fault, He fails to admit it as they feel ashamed, Forgetting that each mistake is a lesson and a call, To redeem yourself and clear your own conscience. Forgiving isn’t easy as it results In a fight between heart and soul!
