Mountains

  Mountains stand tall, towering over the whole world,
Making life difficult for those who live among you,
Testing our strength with cold winds and blinding snow,
Making us think of going around, over or through your challenges,

You ask creatures to change to live or bitter cold winds are on the way,
But at the same time, you provide life giving water to all creatures,
You help keep enemies away, ask the wet winds to empty themselves,
So that those far away also have enough water for themselves,

We have to make roads that wind upwards around you,
While at some other places, we cut tunnels through you to let us go,
Just about a century ago we invented airplanes to go across seas,
Slowly we started to fly them over you but landing them is difficult,

Leaving this you also show us breathtaking scenery,
Your lofty heights are covered in permanent white snow,
But the lower reaches provides a stunning contrast,
You stand tall, we have to crane our necks to see you in one frame,

When someone conquers your icy heights, is really on top of the world,
You pose all sorts of challenges, like bad weather, icy winds, 
Making those who conquer you men of steel,
As they say  say fortune favours the brave, so do you,

We can just stand and stare at your majestic and overpowering beauty,
While you look down at tiny and insignificant creatures,
You make it difficult for us to live and travel,
Ensuring that you reign supreme for a millenia,

Black clouds close out the sun’s hot rays, The hot Earth waits for the cool water, It looks as if the sky sheds tears for the Earth, The time nears for Earth’s rebirth. MY AMBITION

Ever since, I reached grade five, my language kept improving, and, by the time I passed out from grade ten, it had become good enough to make my ambition of becoming a writer of stories. I had always had that ability to channel my ideas easily into words.    I was always trying to express myself through words. When I was about 2 and a half, I got this problem of repeating words thrice, slowly this problem receded, but, I remained a shy speaker in my class till I reached grade ten. In the farewell, I took the emotional approach of saying goodbye to my friends by making a speech, laced with a thank you to some bullies who had made my life miserable, but, also contributed to my becoming a rock of calmness amidst all I suffered in words. I kept myself cool and showed these bullies the door out of my mind. The bullies used to strike me down by telling me about my physical frailties. A Story From My Life

My family has done a lot of work in the field of education under the guidance of my late grandfather. Some 30 years ago, he designed the plan of a school to be built in our native town. That building used to conduct classes for boys till 10th. Now it conducts classes only upto 8th. In January 2012, after my grandfather’s demise, the school authorities called on us. They wished to conduct classes till 12th in the same compound. In February 2012, the work started and the new building was inaugurated on 31st March 2013. In the inauguration ceremony, I made a speech invoking the memory of my grandfather. The school was named in memory of my grandfather. By the month of May all the classes were operational. In the construction of this building, my father gave a lot of time and energy, but, a sterner test was yet to come.
