The Wilderness

Standing at the top of the hill, After a struggle to put foot on rocks, A test of will and skill, I found life is better away from concrete blocks, As soon as one leaves the fast paced life, Our mind unwinds and plays soothing tunes, Out among nature creativity comes alive, One must experience life without closed rooms, Who doesn’t yearn of fresh air? Who can resist places where horns don’t blare? Where do you find & enjoy silence? Where do we find escape from despair? Where but in a natural paradise devoid of undue violence? So come along to the wilderness, And become one with nature, Where nature has a canvas that’s enormous, Where there’s no end to wonderful pictures.

Time: Never Comes Back

Time. The one thing that everyone blames for their missed opportunities. Use this well and success is yours, your friends and family appreciate you for your diligent work. Use it badly and no one will be there to support you in trouble. I have a story for all of you to help better understand the value of time. A few years ago, a married couple were about to have their first child. The expectant mother was inside the labour room. Her husband was walking nervously in the corridor outside. Soon, he heard the voice of a child crying, he was relieved. The nurse came out of the room and congratulated him for becoming the proud father of a healthy baby boy, informing him that he could visit his wife. The small family had a joyful moment. Taking the little bundle of joy into his arms. As he looked into the baby’s eyes, a smile lit up on his face. Soon, the family was back home. The mother had hired a nanny to care for the child. The father got back to work. Unfortunately, whenever...

I'm Ready For Life

Bad times and good times are a part of our life, It’s how one faces them that make or break a person, Some people fight it out and thrive, Some people let their chance go & see their life worsen, When life hits you hard, Don’t let that experience leave you broken, Instead survive to tell a story that wins hearts, Help others by not keeping your story unspoken, Be an inspiration to those around, They will remember you with kind words and a smile, Remember when a person decides he can heal every wound, Hope for the best give efforts to stand out from the pile, Don’t you worry life you will beat me at the end, But, till I’m alive I will answer every blow, Be kind & make each person you know a friend, Never let life leave you low,

An Appeal To Every "Educated" Indian

I’m a proud citizen of the culturally diverse country of India. I take great pride in the diversity of this country. But, can you believe that this country which has a huge expatriate community in all corners of the world still has millions living in abject poverty. Children below 14 years of age work, when their childhood should be spent running around the streets. Malnutrition and communicable diseases kill children before they even reach the age of 5. Here, women are scared of stepping out of their homes after dark in most parts of the country for fear of crime and violence. A girl or a woman out of their home at night is always threatened. The biggest reason for violence against women is unemployment. The biggest reason for unemployment is lack of good education and basic infrastructure such as clean drinking water, sanitation, medical facilities and electricity. Criminal activities are a huge draw for the poor as they provide a seemingly easy way out of unemployment and po...

India Lags Behind At The Hands Of Insipid Leadership

India has been known for being one of the only countries that didn't invade another country in its long history. Though it has been conquered and ruled by different rulers before gaining Independence that too by non violent means speaks volumes about its leadership. In the last three decades however, the economy has gone through loads of upheaval. At one point in the year 1991, there was foreign exchange that could last only a fortnight. The liberalisation of the economy brought a lot of economic growth. Yet there is rampant malnutrition, farmer suicides, strife in some parts and constant uproar in a whole province of the country. This sure raises doubts about the leadership of this country. The way the election campaigning takes place is promises and some vile talk about the opponent party’s candidates. And amid all this there's the caste and reservation theme. A member of a particular community woos a particular community to vote for such and such political party, ...

Forgiveness

People make a mistake, It isn’t easy to forgive them their fault, Give it a go & see the world come awake, Don’t judge people with a pinch of salt, Not letting go can make your heart break. Remember that when you die, You will leave everything here, Make it a point to never let quarrels lie, One never knows when the end is near. When the other person realizes his fault, He fails to admit it as they feel ashamed, Forgetting that each mistake is a lesson and a call, To redeem yourself and clear your own conscience. Forgiving isn’t easy as it results In a fight between heart and soul!

Goodbye

Image
Don’t go away my dear friend, I don’t want our friendship to end, I have my whole life to spend, Many fights and arguments that we need to mend. Oh no! Please don’t wet your eyes, Tears spoil your beautiful and happy face, Stop crying it is my advice, My dear! hold me tight in your embrace, I will never let anyone take your place. Time plays games with one, When taking a person who is the most fun, Time waits for no one, I will wait till time makes a turn, I don’t how I will spend my days, Your voice kept me from adopting wrong ways, The way you kept me going through life's maze, You have left in me an empty space.

Love Misunderstood

I turned towards the door, Eyes rooted to the floor, Worried stiff about her, Just moments ago I found her lost in liqueur, It was heart-breaking to see her will crushed, This happened because I kept some words hushed, These words can keep two hearts in mistrust, This calls for some action that reconstructs trust, I went to her finding her teary eyed, I sat beside her talking about what left her vilified, She fell into my arms after I testified, These moments test one's feelings but if unattended, They leave every lover offended. One hears that temptation is easy, love is tough, The road and the journey can be rough, One is never satisfied that the other won't play the bluff, As the heart is always full of mischief.
