Silent Whispers

The wind doesn't know what it whispers these days, The weather has always held a power to amaze, Each time there's a different tune the rain plays, I don't like how dangerously the coconut tree sways. The heart was never afraid of being set on fire, I have realized love is something we can't acquire, You also can't expect to find it in a proven liar, It can't be found in someone full of worldly desire. I can't find someone who makes my heart whisper, Someone who makes life seem like a fun adventure, Someone who finds beauty in the endless azure, Someone who laughs with me as I turn balder. Life is all about small moments is what I've heard, It ain't a broth that needs to be carefully stirred, It is about embracing that which is unheard, Finding some lessons which can be transferred.

Letter To A Heartbroken Friend

Dear closed door heart, I know my friend how hurt you are feeling at the moment. There's not much to be found brooding over broken trust. There's not much to be found being a locked up heart too. Yes, trust is hard to earn and gain. Have you ever heard of a mountain goat that didn't want to climb a cliff just because it's hoofs were sliding all over? It kept trying until it eventually climbed up? Right? Yes, one can be a bit more circumspect about whom to trust. Yes, one can always talk a little less freely with people. I don't deny that. But, becoming an emotionless stone is never an option. Don't you forget I am still there for you. I will make sure every decision you make has my advice and approval. I will make sure you have my support when you feel wronged by someone. I will make sure you can always count on me. Your concerned friend.

The Unforeseen

The waves crash against the rocky shore, Creating the sound of gunshots fired, Reminding me of the night my parents died, Shot in the skirmish between the army and rebels, I knew not who was to blamed for my loss, Shattering my home in an unforeseen manner, I grew up in the shadow of my elder brother, We were the only support for each other, As I grew up in his all encompassing affection, I lost animosity towards the cause of my parent's death, I felt detached from the reason of the war, What use is it fighting for the land under your feet? Isn't it the very same all across the Earth ?  Then, pray, what use is there, fighting for it ?

Giving Up On Myself

Giving up on myself never seemed so easy, I remember how you made my heart queasy, Your eyes pierced me making love so easy, Then why did you have to leave me so abruptly? Giving up on the dreams I saw in your embrace, I stand there scared when it's time to keep pace, Lost in the memories of those cold nights, This heart paints pictures of womanly grace. Don't you remember the way I loved you? Don't you feel you've lost the real you? Don't you know how much I loved you? Don't you remember how I hugged you? Oh don't tell me that you had to leave, Oh don't tell me that you never did believe, Oh don't let me stay there alone as I grieve. Yes, I'm talking to the girl whom I loved, Don't just ignore the screams of my heart, Please what did I do, to be unloved? I think of ending it all when I see you depart.

Shooting Star And Her

Image
I'm not a night person normally, Her presence created an anomaly, I now stay up all night cheerfully, As she lies there in my lap lazily, Her eyes glimmering delightfully, As she looks up at me gleefully, She turns and points to the sky merrily, As a shooting star appears momentarily, Her hands join in prayer for us hopefully, A tear in my eyes and I cry heartily, She looks at me and wipes the tears hastily, That's when I realized she loved me unconditionally.

Courageous Liar

How easily you wear the mask of truthfulness, I've always wondered on lonely moonlit nights, When I first saw your facade, I didn't know, How toxic your presence in my life would be, You came across as that breath of fresh air, That people yearn to meet all through their lives, Yes, that was what you seemed to be for me, A friend who paints you a unique perspective, I grew to admire your outspoken behaviour, You never liked people who loved to criticize others, Whenever we used to go out with friends, You were the most jolly, welcoming and comic, As close friends you confided in me quite a bit, Not once did I doubt your behaviour and words, Months passed, friendship got stronger, You knew about each of my previous flings, I shared them with you doing a folly, One day, someone spread a rumour about me, Something definitely shady and uncouth, You asked me whether it was true, I was a little taken aback by your question, Didn't you trust me? Or was it a pr...

A Conversation With My Diary

Buddy what has happened? Why have you not scribbled on me? What happened to those nights? When I was the only thing you wanted. I know that you miss my touch buddy, But, I'm not able to pour the words, It feels as if a fairy stole them, She stole my words and my heart, Why didn't you feel like telling me? After all, I've recorded the stories of your crushes Then why are you hiding it from me? Did something or someone replace me? No, it's not like that, I admit I forget you! I admit I've hidden you in a corner! But, you know what? I regret that! I really do! Forgive me my first and most loyal friend! My favourite human, you're always cherished, Come, now, paint me with the hues of ink, Bleed your sorrows and your disappointments, Spill secrets, moments and people on me.

Waiting For Her

I've been lurking in front of your door, Hoping to meet you before I go away, I remember embracing you on the floor, My dreams taking me on a journey faraway, I call you in the hope you'd want to see me, You ignore my attempts to reach you, I wait there, distraught, making a plea, My mind questions whether our bond was true, I remember how our hands used to entangle, Your gaze would leave my words in shackles, Looking at you in tears made my nerves jangle, I would recognize you from your chuckles, I remember your gazing at the rain, Crying, talking about the one who left you in pain, Telling how you'd keep catching his memory's train, I promised that I won't give you that pain, Now here I am, on your door, waiting patiently, Not knowing that you've replaced me silently, You shared your pain & troubles so conveniently, How easy it was for you to use me so bluntly?

Sometimes In Life

Sometimes in life, we stop doing the things that we love dearly. It maybe because of our laziness. It can also be attributed to the discovery of better things to do. If you love to do a particular activity then you don't need reasons to keep doing that. For instance, there was once a young man who loved to play the guitar. He was quite adept at it. One day, his attention was grabbed by the piano. He then went on to learn it too. But, he couldn't get quite as adept at it. So remember, never stop doing what you really love.

My First Date

When I saw her the first time in class, Boy was I blown away! By her deep piercing eyes, By her alluring and pure smile, By her song bird like voice. Whenever I waved at her, she smiled back, Sometimes, our eyes met in class, She'd stare back with such love, I'd feel like hiding my face in a book. Soon, I decided to ask her out, I wrote a beautiful message on a chit, I gave it to her very nervously, The butterflies in my stomach were going crazy. When her reply came, I went literally mad, My happiness knew no bounds, Finally, it would be just her and me! I wanted to hug her really tight, I wanted to let silence speak, I wanted her head on my shoulder, I wanted to stroke her beautiful hair. Finally, the day that I was waiting for came, She was dressed simply yet looked gorgeous, I was speechless for two whole minutes, I didn't even get up to pull her a chair out. When I told that she was looking amazing, The way she looked away, blushing, I had no w...

Dreams & Goals

Open your eyes my dear friend, It's a new day that brings new hopes, Let's  climb the peak you want to ascend, Don't look at how steeply it slopes, The moment you do, your dream will die, You'll see bodies of those who dropped dead, Don't you look behind as you will be alone, No one accompanies you on this lonely road, The thoughts in your mind will torment you, To stop walking, to go back to your home, Your loved ones will come in dreams calling you, Don't listen to your mind until you've reached the top.

Natural Wonders of India

From icy glaciers and snow capped mountains of the Himalayas, To the high altitude desert of Ladakh, From lush green hills of the Western Ghats, To rocky hills of the Deccan Plateau, From the fertile agricultural plains of the Ganga, To the dry, arid and hot Thar Desert, From craggy hills of The Aravallis, To the salt flats of Kutch glistening at night, From coconut lined backwaters of Kerala, To the lush green paddy fields all over, From the tea gardens in Assam, To the wheat and mustard fields of Punjab, From the rainy hills of Cherapunjee, To the untouched beauty of Tawang, From the wild mangroves of the Sundarbans, To the many hidden beaches that line our coasts and islands, When at last we come to, Where it all ends at Kanyakumari where two masses of water meet.

Are You There, God?

Looking around myself evil in the world rising, The hate among us humans is boiling up, Power hungry maniacs rear their heads all over, Some have are so evil they can be called inhuman, We're forgetting Nature provides and destroys too. Yet I see rays of hope through the darkness, Tales of humane and heroic action light our hearts, I've seen the fortunate help the needy, I hear about some who care for lonely children, Hear about people stand up for themselves, This reminds me that God lives in our hearts, We must find His Path and follow it the best we can, I have great belief in the faith called humanity.

Changing People

We don't know our true friends, Out of all who claim to be true friends, Not sure whom to trust with our confidences, As everyone spreads rumours about our life. Growing up, we make loads of friends, Most of these friendships soon die of neglect, The few that remain need to be fed time, A resource in low supply and high demand, Make relations the priority not money… By the time we realize what our life is gonna be, We've already spent a small part, Don't let that realization go waste, We're all here for a while make it worth, Find happiness in simple things. Your actions speak more than your words, Choose wisely what you want to do, All of us speak good, yet, don't act good, Be true to your words, Only then can others be their true self around you. Even after achieving success we're empty inside, The race leaves the people we love behind, Sometimes they forget that people change, Or the fact that everyone is different.

Troubled Teens

The people who enter teenage now have very little experience of the real world. They're just too busy in the virtual world of games, social networking. Most teens prefer keeping in contact with their friends through WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. Some of them find it difficult to interact verbally. The biggest advantage is that one can interact with far away cousins and friends that one made in another city. Social media applications also allow picture and video sharing. In addition, one can follow their favourite sportspersons and personalities. The trouble comes when hackers, fake page operators and cyberbullies are involved. People are liable to spending precious “me” and “family” time. A few become lost in this world and can encounter some terrible things. The case in vogue, right now is the Blue Whale game. Many people have been sucked into this suicidal game. What I really want to say is, the use of social media is good, but, excess use can ...

Small Moments Matter

Life makes you learn that great lessons are hidden in small moments, A few words in the heat of the moment hurt, Some words of encouragement to your stressed friend, These little things gain significance as days pass, A few words from your mother after bad day at school, Those hours together at school create lifelong friendships, Those silly jokes and names created by friends, Those game played with mates now distant memories, A hug from your closest friend after a bad result A kiss from your sister for the gift you gave her, A pat on the back from Dad for your hard work, These little shows of affection are what we miss when away,

Sports And Life

Sports are life for some of us,  And for some it’s a way of life,  Watching our favourite players break records,  Is a joy that can't be explained, Life is like a game of soccer, You run, fight, pass and slide, When at last you score! It feels wonderful! Life is also like a marathon,  You keep running as if there's no tomorrow,  You stretch your energy to a limit,  Till at last, you see the finish line and give it your all!  Finishing it gives you a high! Sometimes, your arrows go astray,  No one hits their goals in one go,  Keep at it, don't give up, but, if you do,  Then you won't achieve what you want, When life serves you bad days,  The reply should be a volley of hope,  One never loses if you keep hoping,  For better days and fighting it out,  When you do that and win, life feels good! Be in the now, fretting about the future, c rying over the past,...

People In Your Life

All through life we meet people, Some with emotions that are fickle, Some leave memories that make you tearful, Some will leave you feeling empty and feeble, Some will push you to work harder,  They know what you're made of,  They have faith in your abilities,  Never ever let them down, Some strangers will make your heart their home,  They will make your life nothing less than paradise,  Keep them close to you and love them,  They will put their hand up when your own desert you… No one in the world knows you better than your parents,  They see to it that we never have to face the troubles they did,  Our family shares with us sad and happy moments,  When you drift off the right path you will be helped back onto it…  Never lose hope because you never walk alone…

Finding Your Talents

I have struggled and fought right through my teenage to find out who I really am. There was a lot of self doubt  about whether I could really do anything substantial in life. Funny thing is till the start of August 2016, I had taken the decision to not pursue graduation. Most of my friends advised me that I had done the wrong thing. Even my teachers were of the same opinion. I wasn't ready to agree with them. My reducing energy was reason enough for me to stop studying. For 3 months, I was at home, trying to figure out what to do next. Suddenly, my father told me that I should go to a stock broker's office and learn how money can be put to use for producing more. For a month, I just looked at how everything worked. Soon, I was doing investment myself. By the time 6 months, were over, I had already made about 12-13% profit. I don't have any faith left in the education system that our country has prioritizes memory above each individual’s all round development. Yes, I have ...

Lovely Family

A mother is a child's entire world, A mother’s love for her children never diminishes, Even if her children are ready to take on the world, She continues to be worried about them, She teaches them all about life & how to live it. Children look at their father with admiration, Whatever work he does is to support the family & his children, Whatever time he has after work is spent with his children, He always works hard so that his children don't have to, He teaches his children all about the practical world. The grandparents have stories & plenty of time to share, They have seen the world change completely before their eyes, One will learn from them about how simple things matter, They emphasize on how small steps can turn into something big, Their experience of life helps making decisions easy. We all need love & support in bad times, When you feel that no one listens only your family does, They are the only people who love you for what you are...
